School and Campus Cleaning in Dayton, OH
Final Touch Cleaning Services cleans schools, preschools and campus buildings across Dayton and the Miami Valley. Classrooms, corridors, gyms and locker rooms, cafeterias, labs, libraries and restrooms, worked around the timetable rather than through it.
Every member of staff who sets foot on a school site has been background checked before they start, and is trained on that specific site rather than given a generic induction. We have put that first on this page because it is the first thing every facilities director asks.
We have been cleaning commercial premises in the Miami Valley since 2010, and school work runs on the same basis as the rest of it: a written scope, an agreed schedule, a checklist on every visit and one person you can call.

Background checked staff, before anything else
This is the part that decides whether a school reads the rest of the page, so it goes first.
Checked before they start
Every member of staff is background checked before they hold access to a school building. Not after, not pending, before.
Named crew on your site
You get the same crew each visit and we tell you who they are. A school office should not be meeting a new face every week.
Trained on your site
Each crew is walked through your building, your access procedure, your out of bounds areas and your safeguarding expectations before they work unsupervised.
Paperwork on request
Insurance certificates, bonding and staff check confirmation available for your records or your board.
What we clean
Written from a walkthrough of your site. Primary, secondary and campus buildings all have different pressure points and the scope reflects that.
Classrooms
Desks and tables, chairs, boards, sills, switches and door handles. Floors vacuumed or mopped, bins emptied, and the room reset ready for the morning.
Corridors and lockers
Floors done end to end, locker fronts and handles wiped, display boards and trophy cases dusted, entrance glass cleaned.
Gyms and locker rooms
Sports floors cleaned to suit the surface, benches and lockers wiped, changing areas and showers cleaned and disinfected.
Cafeterias and kitchens
Tables and seating cleaned and sanitised, serveries wiped, floors degreased and mopped, bins emptied and bin areas kept clean.
Restrooms
Toilets, urinals, sinks, mirrors and partitions cleaned and disinfected, floors sanitised, and paper and soap restocked. Usually the area a school is judged on first.
Libraries and labs
Shelving and study surfaces dusted, bench tops cleaned, floors done, with care taken around equipment and anything left set up.
Offices and staff rooms
Desks, kitchen areas, seating and floors, cleaned the same way we would clean any professional office.
Entrances and reception
Entry glass, mats, reception surfaces and seating. The first thing a parent or an inspector sees.
Floor stripping, carpet extraction and gym floor work are easiest to schedule into the breaks. Worth booking before the calendar fills.
Ask about holiday workCleaning around the school day
After hours during term
The main clean happens once the building is clear. Classrooms, corridors and offices are reset before the next morning.
Daytime cover where it is needed
Restrooms and cafeterias often need a check in the middle of the day. That can run alongside the evening clean rather than replacing it.
Holiday and summer deep cleans
The bigger work that cannot happen in term time: full floor work, deep cleaning of kitchens and changing areas, and anything that needs the building empty.
Floor work during breaks
Stripping, sealing and waxing hall and gym floors, and carpet extraction in libraries and offices. Covered on our floor and carpet care page.

Health and hygiene in a school
A school moves more people through the same doors, handles and taps than almost any other building its size. High touch points are where that shows: door handles, push plates, handrails, light switches, taps, shared keyboards and lunch tables.
Those go on the checklist as named items rather than being covered by a general instruction to wipe surfaces, because a general instruction is what gets skipped on a busy night.
Through the winter months, disinfecting can be scheduled on top of the regular clean. Electrostatic spraying covers a classroom in a fraction of the time it takes to wipe it and reaches surfaces a cloth misses, which is covered on our commercial disinfecting page.

Questions schools ask
Are your cleaning staff background checked?
Yes, every one of them, before they hold access to a school building rather than after they start. Confirmation is available for your records or your board, along with insurance and bonding certificates. Each crew is also trained on your specific site before working unsupervised.
Can you clean after school hours?
Yes, and that is how most school contracts run. The main clean happens once the building is clear, so classrooms and corridors are reset before the next morning. Daytime cover for restrooms and cafeterias can run alongside it where it is needed.
Do you cover gyms, cafeterias and locker rooms?
Yes. Sports floors cleaned to suit the surface, benches and lockers wiped, changing areas and showers cleaned and disinfected, and cafeteria floors degreased rather than just mopped.
Can you handle summer and holiday deep cleans?
Yes, and the breaks are the right time for the work that cannot happen in term. Full floor work, deep cleaning of kitchens and changing areas, and anything needing the building empty. Worth booking early, because every school in the area wants the same two weeks.
Do you clean preschools and childcare centres?
Yes. Those sites bring the most questions about staff checks and about which products are used around young children, and we are happy to answer both in writing before you sign anything.
Can you strip and wax gym and hall floors during the holidays?
Yes. Stripping, sealing and waxing is scheduled into the breaks so the floor is back in use for the first day of term. We will tell you how many days the floor needs before you commit to a date.
